Para-Transit
Programs
G G & C Bus Co.
Inc. works along with the Washington County
Transportation Authority office to
provided modified door to door
transportation to residents of Washington
County at little or no cost to the passenger
(depending on the program). Lift van
service is available on request. We
offer transportation to senior citizens,
persons with disabilities, persons receiving
Medical Assistance, low income persons who
need a ride to work, and
veterans.
Shared
Ride Program
This program provides
persons 60 years of age and over
transportation to a senior center or adult
day care at no charge to the
passenger. Persons 65 and older can
schedule transportation to destinations such
as medical appointments, grocery stores,
beauty shops, etc., for a minimal fee.
Transportation
Program for Persons with Disabilities
This program provides
persons with disabilities who are under age
65 with transportation in areas that are not
currently served by a fixed route bus
transportation and ADA complementary para-transit
service.
Medical
Assistance Transportation Program
This program is
provided to eligible persons who are in need
of assistance in making trips to/from
medical providers enrolled in the Medical
Assistance Program, for the purpose of
receiving treatment, purchasing prescription
drugs, or medical equipment, MATP also
provides a reimbursement program to eligible
passengers to cover the cost of bus
transportation or transportation provided by
privately owned vehicles.
Welfare
to Work Transportation Program
This is a temporary
program meant to help eligible passengers
get to and from employment until they are
able to identify a more permanent
transportation resource. Your local
County Assistance Office screens applicants
for this program.
Veterans
Transportation Program
This program is
provided for ambulatory veterans who need
transportation to the VA Medical Centers in
Pittsburgh.
